STEELHEAD, SALMON
The Feather River stretches from Oroville to the Sacramento River and can be broken down into two sections. The “Low Flow” section stretches from Oroville to the bottom of the Thermalito Afterbay, with the “High Flow” section stretching from Thermalito down to the Sacramento River. Low flow section offers great Steelhead fishing. The High Flow section also offers Striper and Shad opportunity. Salmon is closed for a portion of the Steelhead run, so we have to release and treat Salmon with care.
Trips Offered
Specializing in Steelhead and Salmon on the Low Flow section. There are opportunities to fish from a drift boat or to swing flies with switch/spey gear and use a boat to move between runs through the Oroville Wildlife Area. Offering Full Day and Learn to Fly Fish trips. If you want to learn to catch Steelhead on the fly, this is a great river to learn.
